2.00pm Sunday 4 May, at Newtown Primary School. Will be great to see all members there! Vistors are very welcome too. We will be rehearsing Bicycle Riding, Merengue, Livewire, Thanksgiving and Canopé. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided during the break.

Membership Fees for 2008 Due Now

Members please be sure to submit your fees for 2008. The rates have not changed for several years and so represent excellent value! $25 individuals / $35 families. You can pay at the March meeting or via cheque or direct deposit. Please email Bert at info@hobartguitarsociety.org for details if you wish to use the cheque or direct deposit methods.

Dear Guitar Enthusiast.

This email is to let you all know that this Sunday morning (4 May) at 9am there will be a broadcast on ABC Classic FM of a recital played by the very talented Daniel Nistico (1st year guitarist at the Victorian College of the Arts Music School,University of Melbourne).

Daniel finished studying with Ben Dix at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) last year and is now studying with Antony Field. Daniel won the VCASS instrumental solo competition last year. The broadcast was recorded last year when Daniel had just finished his year 12 studies.

Please tune in to listen to some beautiful guitar playing from this young player. The recital will feature Bellinati, Barrios, York and others.
