Welcome to the Hobart Guitar Society

The Hobart Guitar Society is based in the capital city of Tasmania, Australia's southernmost state, and its membership includes people from around the island with a wide range of guitar-related interests. Visitors and new members are always welcome.  Meetings are held on the first Sunday of each month from 2.00 to 4.00pm at the Newtown Primary School Hall, Forster Street, Newtown.

Orpheus Music Early Chamber Summer School 2009

4-9 January 2009 in Armidale, NSW

There is a specific Plucked Strings core studies programme which is suitable for lute, theorbo, vihuela as well as classical guitarists with an interest in lute repertoire and basso continuo. James Holland will be the plucked strings tutor.
